Because space at the Made in Chicago Markets is limited, we are not always able to accept all vendor applications. To guide our decision-making process, we rely upon an established set of criteria that helps us make each Market the best that it can be.
We are looking for vendors who:
Own and operate their business in Chicagoland. All products must be made in Chicago, which means no outsourcing or printing with companies outside Chicago.
Hand-make all of their products. That means no mass production.
Have an established social media presence on Facebook or Instagram or an established website, Etsy page, or other online vending tool. Bonus points if you have both!
Have a streamlined brand with clear product descriptions. While we are impressed with your creativity, we don’t accept “sell-all” craft vendors.
Complement the other accepted vendors at each Market. We try to curate a diverse breakdown of vendors so that we can offer our guests a comprehensive shopping experience.
